GreenRock Energy AG with 300 MW in Italy

GreenRock Energy AG is building projects in Italy in the order of around 300 MW. The company has acquired the surface rights for the photovoltaic plants in Lazio and Apulia. GreenRock Energy AG's Berlin office has already started planning the plants. The installations will already be ready for construction in the second quarter of 2020. A good 40 MW have received their feed-in points in the central Italian region of Latium.

The projects are based on an electricity purchase agreement (PPA), which is based on a long-term electricity supply contract between GreenRock Energy AG and other parties. The advantages of the Power Purchase Agreement for players in the energy market are Price certainty, opportunities to finance investments in new power generation capacity or to reduce the risks associated with the sale and purchase of electricity.

"We are very pleased with the rapid progress made in Italy. Our office in Berlin is working at full speed on the plans. All projects will be operational by the end of 2020," said Martin Kofler, CEO of GreenRock Energy AG.

While the focus in Germany is on installing photovoltaic systems on roofs, the projects in Italy are open-space systems.
